An effective solution to achieve a confident smile.
What are veneers?
Veneers are a long-lasting cosmetic dental treatment used to improve your smile. Whether you have crooked, chipped or discoloured teeth, veneers may be the best solution for you.
They are hand-made, wafer-thin (0.2mm) porcelain shells that are placed onto the surface of existing teeth, and are designed to perfectly simulate the look and feel of your natural teeth.
You can personalise the shape, size and shade of the veneer to suit the shape of your face, mouth and desired look.
Who are veneers suitable for?
Veneers are suitable to fix just one tooth or a whole mouthful of teeth. They can be used for anyone who has:
- Chipped or broken tooth/teeth
- Discoloured teeth
- Gaps between the teeth
- Teeth which have become worn down
- Misaligned or irregularly shaped teeth
- Gummy smiles
There are, however, alternative treatments available if you are not ready to make the commitment to veneers.
What types of veneers are available?
There are many materials that dental veneers can be made from, and all come with varying appearances, lifespans and bio-compatibility. The two main types of veneers commonly offered are:
Porcelain veneers: a long-lasting, natural-looking solution. The veneers are crafted in the finest detail by highly skilled specialist technicians in a dental laboratory, so they look just like natural teeth. Porcelain veneers are usually fitted in two or three appointments and usually require some minimal preparation of your existing teeth. In some cases, you can place non preparation veneers. The amount of preparation needed varies from case to case and we strive to keep preparation to an absolute minimum.
Composite veneers: this option can be fixed in one visit. Layers of resin are applied directly to the tooth, masking any damaged enamel, which is then sculpted to the correct shape and size. Composite veneers are a great option if you have stained or slightly damaged teeth, such as a chipped/cracked tooth/teeth and small gaps.
Why choose porcelain veneers?
We believe that hand-layered, glass porcelain veneers are the most reliable option for fully integration with the tooth. They are minimally invasive and provide optimal aesthetic results.
Porcelain has the best and longest track record for endurance out of all veneer materials. Unlike industrially manufactured alternatives, they require intensive effort and an exceptional level of craftsmanship to produce. Nature never takes any shortcuts and neither do we, when it comes to creating naturally beautiful aesthetics.
